Week 8: Thursday’s Meals/Activities and Conditions

Posted in Food, health, Meals/Activities at 11:40 am by way2much

ACTIVITIES:  cleaning and organizing – the fun stuff 😦

BREAKFAST: had around lunch-time

  • 3 Eggo waffles (because they are the best and I needed to finish a bag – can’t leave ONE waffle in freezer!)
  • syrup

LUNCH: having too many carbs today

  • egg bagel w/butter
  • water

SNACKS/BLTs: crackers and pepperoni – over 10 but under 20 – more like appetizer!

DINNER: leftover Chinese food

DRINKS: water

SINUS: congestion

OTHER: back and neck ache – shouldn’t sleep with a pony-tail

SLEEP PROBLEMS FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE: I was extremely exhausted having only 4 hours sleep the previous night and being up for 17 hours. I had more weird dreams (I was surrounded by ghosts) and I even think I woke up screaming – but no one heard me. I was completely exhausted that I did not wake up when my kids went to school – lucky their dad was! My dad started at 10:30 😦

MEDICATIONS: will start to take nasacort in the evening – see if that helps. I tend to stop a medication when I am better, but then a few days later it is back – but I am only to use this when needed, so it is a pain.

Week 8: Tuesday’s Meals/Activities and Conditions

Posted in exercise, Food, health, Meals/Activities, Pampered Chef at 10:49 am by way2much

ACTIVITIES: going clothes shopping, watching my son’s scrimmage – (mental note: bring video camera), taking daughter to her practice

EXERCISE: why bother

BREAKFAST: as of 10:48 nothing

LUNCH: meal at 12:00 (noon!)

  • 3/4 cup fresh blueberries
  • fat free milk

SNACKS/BLTs: made my son some tuna fish salad (tuna in water – drained; salt, pepper, mayonnaise, onion chopped with my Pampered Chef chopper!) so I had a bite or two – may have a sandwich for myself later on – but I am not hungry now.

DINNER: no time to cook – but I have no idea what we will have – perhaps I will run to the butcher and get some chops or burgers to grill – for after 8 PM 😦 that is when the activities are over – what is bad is the no time to eat – I could cook, but it is either eat before 2:30 or after 8:00 – I dislike days like these especially the day before school!

  • Roast Pork Fried Rice
  • Sweet and Sour Chicken
  • Wonton Soup
  • Roast Pork Lo Mein

Dessert: fortune cookie

DRINKS: Crystal Lite Iced Tea, water

SINUS: yes, slight stuffiness but not as bad as usual

SLEEP PROBLEMS FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE: other than waking up an hour after falling asleep to find your daughter leaning over you nose to nose and screaming so you wake up your son and husband – no problems!

Week 7: Monday’s Meals/Activities and Conditions

Posted in exercise, Food, health, Meals/Activities, Pampered Chef, Recipe Ideas at 2:51 pm by way2much

ACTIVITIES:  cleaning up the basement – some things just tend to get out of control

EXERCISE: see above – hmm??

BREAKFAST: raisin bran with fat free milk; blueberry tea

LUNCH: no lunch, late breakfast

SNACKS: cheese, crackers and pepperoni (I really need a nutritionist!)

DINNER: grilling a skirt steak (is that what you do with one of those?) making a salad and doing some kind of a potato thing – more than likely nuking it for baked potato – do I need a veggie? I have none in the house!

NOTE: I marinated the skirt steak for approximately one hour with one of Lawry’s seasonings – and grilled it for 20 minutes – 10 on each side – give or take a few minutes. My kids and I enjoyed it! My husband thought it was too rare! (I would consider it medium-rare; it was pink with a little blood and ooh so tender!)

I seasoned my potatoes (which were diced into 1 inch cubes) with Pampered Chef Basil Blend Canola Oil (delish! – if you want to order contact me! I sell PC!) I added Garlic Garlic and Bacon Bacon from the Tastefully Simple line (I do not sell). I added a bit of salt and pepper and placed in one of my Stones (a la PC!) and microwaved it for 18 minutes on high.  Another winner – kids were asking for more!

DRINKS: water

SINUS: yes, some morning stuffiness

OTHER:some type of heartburn or indigestion

  • 3/4 cups oatmeal with sliced strawberries

  • 1/2 chicken breast (left-over from last night – shredded)
  • lettuce and tomato
  • ranch dressing

DRINKS: water

SINUS: not bad

SLEEP PROBLEMS FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE: not sure if it was the wine or the caffeine in my system but I had some problems.  Not a choking feeling but a sense of stopped breathing – like everything in my body stopped, but I was alert and aware of it. It happened twice and then I talked myself into relaxing and not worrying about it – must have worked because I fell asleep and I am awake now!

  • nasacort
  • vitamins

NOTE: It is very cool outside – a nice fall-type day

Week 7: Wednesday’s Meals/Activities and Conditions

Posted in exercise, Food, health, Meals/Activities at 1:01 am by way2much

ACTIVITIES: My parents are coming for a visit – I think as i have not spoken to them since Sunday – but I do believe they will be here. I have my daughter’s open house today. • Cheerios
  • 3 large Strawberries – sliced
  • fat free milk

Dessert: blueberries and strawberries

DRINKS: water, glass of Blush wine

HEADACHE: sinus related – upper right eye

SINUS: so much pressure – I hate this weather

OTHER: neck kink – see below!

SLEEP PROBLEMS FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE: I had no problems falling asleep but my neck is kinked because: You know those candy pillows or whatever… my daughter took my pillow and replaced it with a Double Bubble oversized pillow and put my pillowcase over it. (I wouldn’t have minded the Reese’s pillow – it was flatter!) I was so tired last night I just dealt with it, but it was quite uncomfortable! 🙂 gotta luv her!

  • nasacort – my sinuses are killing me today
  • vitamins

NOTE: I weighed myself because Yes, I am obsessed with it and was extremely pissed that I gained two pounds – but I dropped the 2 lbs. and that was after breakfast – so I am not doing as badly as I thought. It must have been the 10 or so martinis from the weekend and all the shrimp and lobster I ate during the cocktail hour!
