Week 7: Thursday’s Meals/Activities and Conditions

Posted in exercise, Food, health, Meals/Activities at 11:46 pm by way2much

ACTIVITIES: school shopping, guitar and cheering practices!

EXERCISE: morning stretches

  • 3/4 cups oatmeal with sliced strawberries
  • < handful of blueberries

SNACKS: Trail Mix – I really need to stop putting my hand in the bag and measure out a serving instead.

  • 2 – 12″ wraps – white flour
  • 1/2 chicken breast (left-over from last night – shredded)
  • lettuce and tomato
  • ranch dressing
  • 4 slices bacon

Dessert: I am so full from dinner – I shouldn’t have had a second wrap – but I wanted to finish the chicken – that was dumb – this is how I get myself into trouble. So no dessert for me – blechk!

DRINKS: water

SINUS: not bad

SLEEP PROBLEMS FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE: not sure if it was the wine or the caffeine in my system but I had some problems.  Not a choking feeling but a sense of stopped breathing – like everything in my body stopped, but I was alert and aware of it. It happened twice and then I talked myself into relaxing and not worrying about it – must have worked because I fell asleep and I am awake now!

  • nasacort
  • vitamins

NOTE: It is very cool outside – a nice fall-type day

Week 7: Wednesday’s Meals/Activities and Conditions

Posted in exercise, Food, health, Meals/Activities at 1:01 am by way2much

ACTIVITIES: My parents are coming for a visit – I think as i have not spoken to them since Sunday – but I do believe they will be here. I have my daughter’s open house today. My son has his first HS football scrimmage game. I am nervous – this is the big league. Don’t eat out of stress….don’t eat out of stress!

EXERCISE: nothing

  • Cheerios
  • 3 large Strawberries – sliced
  • fat free milk

LUNCH: none

SNACKS: my cravings have diminished somewhat so I am relieved! 🙂

Had some Trail Mix – that stuff is addicting – at Dan’s game. He played pretty good and participated in a lot of plays – not bad for a Freshman!

  • boneless chicken breast marinated in Italian seasoning
  • baked potato with butter, salt and pepper
  • steamed broccoli
  • salad made with lettuce, celery, onion and tomato with Vinaigrette dressing

Dessert: blueberries and strawberries

DRINKS: water, glass of Blush wine

HEADACHE: sinus related – upper right eye

SINUS: so much pressure – I hate this weather

OTHER: neck kink – see below!

SLEEP PROBLEMS FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE: I had no problems falling asleep but my neck is kinked because: You know those candy pillows or whatever… my daughter took my pillow and replaced it with a Double Bubble oversized pillow and put my pillowcase over it. (I wouldn’t have minded the Reese’s pillow – it was flatter!) I was so tired last night I just dealt with it, but it was quite uncomfortable! 🙂 gotta luv her!

  • nasacort – my sinuses are killing me today
  • vitamins

NOTE: I weighed myself because Yes, I am obsessed with it and was extremely pissed that I gained two pounds – but I dropped the 2 lbs. and that was after breakfast – so I am not doing as badly as I thought. It must have been the 10 or so martinis from the weekend and all the shrimp and lobster I ate during the cocktail hour!

Weigh-In for Week 6: I’d Rather Not Say!

Posted in Food, weight at 11:44 am by way2much

Forget drum rolls,

Forget history,

Forget everything

My number is: 177

The kids start school in a week.

At that time, I will go in for my blood work and all my doctor appointments have been scheduled for September – let the fun begin.

I really haven’t been good with watching what I eat, so I didn’t expect a weight loss – but other than the wedding – I don’t think I overdid it.

Although, I do believe nuts are fattening! Gotta stay away from the nuts (family included! LOL)

Week 6: Monday’s Meals/Activities and Conditions

ACTIVITIES: I think I will clean my entire house today – not big – one story ranch. It is pouring outside – 2nd day in a row.  Tomorrow will be a mess too.  And it is the last week off before school begins 😦

  • bowl of Cheerios with 4 large fresh Strawberries sliced
  • fat free milk

DINNER: heated up a chicken burger for myself w/bun. My daughter had a homemade taco – son didn’t eat yet (practice) and neither did husband (work). I hate these schedules especially with my son at practice during dinner hours (5-8). (8:41 PM)

HEADACHE: pressure pain in upper right section of forehead (sinus related?)

SINUS: very stuffy – but able to breathe

OTHER: slight nerve pain on left side of lower back – unusual

NOTE: I must have had at least 10 drinks that night! After the fruity martinis I switched to white chocolate martinis – they were outrageous, the white is creamy, the other choc. martinis are a bit bitter.  I did dance a lot, but I have no rhthym, but it didn’t matter because I was tipsy and I had fun! 😎

How badly would you want to know?

Posted in Food at 10:28 pm by way2much

You read the ingredients list.

You look at the nutrition label.

If you are like me, there are some ingredients that make you say “hmm?”  Would you like to know what they really are?

What if I told you there were beetles in your yogurt – would you believe me? If it were true, would you still eat it anyway?

Hmm? Would you?

Check this article out – let me know what you think.
