Week 8: Summary
This is the first time I didn’t log everything I ate. Not only did I skip a day, I skipped the whole weekend.
I am disgusted once again.
I didn’t do too badly this weekend.
I don’t remember what I ate on Friday. It wasn’t obsessive. But I did go food shopping and for the most part I was good. I didn’t buy anything I didn’t need and it was mostly healthy food.
Except for the bag of Cheetos.
And pretzels – but they aren’t that bad.
I bought vegetables and fruit.
Saturday I went to my son’s scrimmage game and my in-laws bought me a bagel with cream-cheese. I really need to stay away from bagels, they are too fattening. I had a cup of coffee (regular) in the morning, but in the evening I had a slight problem sleeping.
After my son’s scrimmage, my daughter and I went supply shopping again for school. We got home and I made pork chops on the grill. We had some mixed veggies on the side. We then went to a friend’s house for a birthday celebration. I stayed until 1 in the morning and I had 3 dixie cups of frozen lemonade (Mike’s hard lemonade). I had a slice of cake and delicious blondies (about 3). So I snacked a bit this weekend.
Sunday, I enjoyed my day at our local town fair. I did not set up a booth this year. Usually I display my Pampered Chef items, but I met a nice group of woman there last year that did the same. I contacted them and heard they reserved a booth again. I declined – no sense having two booths of the same. Besides, I don’t have any of the new season products to display – yet.
My daughter had to cheer at a 1:30 game. She had to be there at 12:30 but I thought that was ridiculous and got her there at 1. It was a good thing I used common sense as the coaches hadn’t arrived until 5 minutes prior. So we spent the morning browsing the stands – nice leisurely walk. I went to the game and pulled her out early (3:30) because she was upset that she only spent 1/2 hour at the fair.
NOTE: She slept over her friend’s house and met us at the fair She got there at 12 and only saw a few vendors. We left at 12:30 so she can change and get ready for the game. The game should have started at 1:30 but was delayed until 2:00. The girls were not doing much cheering, so it was basically a waste of our time. Therefore, I took her out and went back to the fair.
We did more walking around and we even walked home (approx. 1 mile). I had a hot dog for dinner. I also had some chips (not much). I had 3 mint cookies before going to bed. I even had a midnight snack finishing 1/2 pork chop that was left over. I had problems in the middle of the night, feelings of stopped heart-rate, etc. I did have a coffee Sunday morning as well. So I am realizing my problems truly lie with the caffeine intake.
So here I am Monday morning – my jeans are tight, my fingers are swollen and I am congested. I have no drive to do anything – really. I think I am PMS-ing but who really knows.
I have a gyno appt. tomorrow. I will get my daughter to school at 7:30 and go straight to the lab to get my blood drawn (finally). Then I have a 12:00 doctor appointment. I am dreading that, because she always comments about my weight. Just give me my pap and shut up!

Week 8: Tuesday’s Meals/Activities and Conditions
HAS IT BEEN 2 MONTHS ALREADY AND I ONLY LOST 5 POUNDS? I AM DOING SOMETHING WRONG HERE.
ACTIVITIES: going clothes shopping, watching my son’s scrimmage – (mental note: bring video camera), taking daughter to her practice
EXERCISE: why bother
BREAKFAST: as of 10:48 nothing
LUNCH: meal at 12:00 (noon!)
- plain Cheerios – this time I measured out 1 cup
- 3/4 cup fresh blueberries
- fat free milk
SNACKS/BLTs: made my son some tuna fish salad (tuna in water – drained; salt, pepper, mayonnaise, onion chopped with my Pampered Chef chopper!) so I had a bite or two – may have a sandwich for myself later on – but I am not hungry now.
DINNER: no time to cook – but I have no idea what we will have – perhaps I will run to the butcher and get some chops or burgers to grill – for after 8 PM
that is when the activities are over – what is bad is the no time to eat – I could cook, but it is either eat before 2:30 or after 8:00 – I dislike days like these especially the day before school!
- Roast Pork Fried Rice
- Sweet and Sour Chicken
- Wonton Soup
- Roast Pork Lo Mein
Dessert: fortune cookie
DRINKS: Crystal Lite Iced Tea, water
HEADACHE: no
SINUS: yes, slight stuffiness but not as bad as usual
OTHER:
SLEEP PROBLEMS FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE: other than waking up an hour after falling asleep to find your daughter leaning over you nose to nose and screaming so you wake up your son and husband – no problems!
MEDICATIONS:
- vitamins

Week 7: Monday’s Meals/Activities and Conditions
ACTIVITIES: cleaning up the basement – some things just tend to get out of control
EXERCISE: see above – hmm??
BREAKFAST: raisin bran with fat free milk; blueberry tea
LUNCH: no lunch, late breakfast
SNACKS: cheese, crackers and pepperoni (I really need a nutritionist!)
DINNER: grilling a skirt steak (is that what you do with one of those?) making a salad and doing some kind of a potato thing – more than likely nuking it for baked potato – do I need a veggie? I have none in the house!
NOTE: I marinated the skirt steak for approximately one hour with one of Lawry’s seasonings – and grilled it for 20 minutes – 10 on each side – give or take a few minutes. My kids and I enjoyed it! My husband thought it was too rare! (I would consider it medium-rare; it was pink with a little blood and ooh so tender!)
I seasoned my potatoes (which were diced into 1 inch cubes) with Pampered Chef Basil Blend Canola Oil (delish! – if you want to order contact me! I sell PC!) I added Garlic Garlic and Bacon Bacon from the Tastefully Simple line (I do not sell). I added a bit of salt and pepper and placed in one of my Stones (a la PC!) and microwaved it for 18 minutes on high. Another winner – kids were asking for more!
Dessert:
DRINKS: water
HEADACHE: no
SINUS: yes, some morning stuffiness
OTHER:some type of heartburn or indigestion
SLEEP PROBLEMS FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE: none
MEDICATIONS:
- vitamins

Tuesday’s Meals/Exercise
BREAKFAST
- Black coffee
LUNCH/DINNER
- Chicken gyro wrap
- french fries
- black coffee
- strawberry gelatin
BLTS (bites, licks, tastes – the ones that do you in!)
- licks of chocolate pudding
- 1/2 an Oreo cookie
- (ingredients of a death by chocolate dessert that I concocted for myself for my meeting tonight)
Drinking plenty of water
EXERCISE FOR THE DAY
- my standard stretches
- Bowling – is that considered exercise? two games for a total of 20 frames
At my 7:30 meeting I will try NOT to eat anything as I feel so full it isn’t funny.
On a scale from 1-10 with 1 being famished and 10 being sick to your stomach – I rate myself at a “9″. The gyro and fries did me in – and the BLTs were just out of habit!
NOTE: It is NOT necessary to finish everything on your plate. I need to realize that by finishing everything on my plate, hunger will not cease to exist for others. It will just make me a glutton. (I grew up hearing “finish what’s on your plate, there are starving people in *insert country here*”)

UPDATE
Meeting: Will power I have not!
I had a few potato chips and dip – but really not much.
I made this death by chocolate dessert and had a sliver.
I drank a glass of Diet Coke.
Had perhaps 6 cubes of pinapple and cherry.
All together, I have no idea what amount of points I consumed by the WW method. But hopefully it was less than 25.
